TELECOMWORLDWIRE-6 June 2003-Autodesk supplies navigation technology to Fiat(C)1994-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Autodesk Location Services, a division of Autodesk Inc, is supplying the location technology for a wireless car navigation system to Targa Infomobility, a division of Fiat.

The latest Fiat Punto model will now include the CONNECT Off Board Navigation system which can provide maps, driving directions, real-time traffic information, weather forecasts and concierge services. The device does not use maps that are located on CD-ROM; instead all of the information that is presented to the driver is sent out by a centralised system. Information can be offered in a total of 12 different languages.

The financial terms of the agreement were not revealed.
