Auto parts & accessories magazine for Asian/Chinese market from Global Sources.

Global Sources (Hong Kong) will begin the publication of "Global Sources Auto Parts & Accessories" magazine with an issue in October. The new title and an accompanying web site are designed to help volume buyers worldwide source from suppliers in Greater China and throughout Asia. Auto parts and accessories content was previously included in "Asian Sources Hardwares," which will be renamed "Global Sources Hardware & DIY." Global Sources said the two new titles have already attracted more than 750 advertisers, a 73% increase over the previous single title.

"The company noted that the Chinese government has identified the auto parts industry as a key growth sector. Its goal is to export 10% of the world's automobiles and auto parts by 2015, a market share valued at $120 billion, automobiles and auto parts by 2015-valued at US$120 billion. Global Sources chairman/ceo, Merle A. Hinrichs, said: "Auto Parts & Accessories aims to play a crucial role in this fast-growing sector by helping trading partners reduce uncertainty and maximize trade opportunities. It also gives us the opportunity to grow along with Greater Chinas auto parts sector. We anticipate the magazine and its companion website will quickly be viewed as the leading, most authoritative resources for buyers in the industry and will become essential tools for our community of buyers and suppliers."

Earlier this year, Global Sources began the publication of "Asian Sources Garments & Textiles" and "Asian Sources Fashion Accessories." For the six-month period ended June 30, 2005, revenue was $54.5 million, compared to $52.6 million in the six-month period ended June 30, 2004. Net income for the six months ended June 30, 2005 was $6.5 million, or $0.19 per diluted share, compared to $7.7 million, or $0.24 per diluted share in the prior year's period.
