Authorities directed to identify dengue hot spots:.
RAWALPINDI -- Commissioner Rawalpindi has stressed the need for coordinated efforts to timely check hot spots and effective indoor outdoor surveillance so that anti dengue measures could be made fruitful.
In a meeting here Monday, the Commissioner said that eradication of dengue was not responsibility of any individual entity, it was joint responsibility of all government departments, local bodies and community to work together and ensure pre-emptive measures to address the issue without any delay.
He said all graveyards located in Rawal and Potohar Towns including cantonment areas must be cleared within next 15 days by carrying out survey.
The commissioner made it clear to all stake holders that it can be made possible by performing entrusted tasks within the fixed time lines.
Earlier, Executive District Officer Health in a meeting said the Health Department has finalized all arrangements to tackle dengue.
He informed that the department managed spray pumps, Thermal Foggers, Cold Foggers, Delta Mathin, Tami Foss Liquid and other chemicals. He also informed that abundant stock was available to meet the challenge.
