Authorised biography of Princess Diana's mother published.

Frances Shand Kydd, the mother of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, has assisted the authors of a biography about her life.

'Frances: The Remarkable Story of Princess Diana's Mother' includes details of the stormy but loving relationship between mother and daughter, with Shand Kydd dismissing suggestions that there was an irretrievable rift between them at the time of Princess Diana's death. The pair had not spoken in the four months before Diana was killed in a car crash in 1997.

The authorised biography is written by Max Riddington and Gavan Naden and published by Michael O'Mara.
