Author receives two Swedish prizes.


Norwegian-born author Beate Grimsrud has received two awards within a short period of time.

Grimsrud, who lives in Sweden, was first awarded the literature prize of the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. Soon after, she was informed that she had also been awarded the literature prize of the Swedish publisher Wahlstrom & Widstrand, reported Yahoo's Swedish news.

The Wahlstrom & Widstrand prize was first awarded in 1994 and is given out every second year, while the Aftonbladet prize has been awarded every year since 1957.
