Austrian organic herbs firm Sonnentor expects revenue growth in FY 2013/14 - report.

(SeeNews) - Jul 3, 2014 - Austrian organic herbs producer Sonnentor GmbH predicts a rise in its profit from ordinary operations to EUR 2.8 million (USD 3.8m) in fiscal 2013/14 from EUR 2.51 million a year earlier, newspaper Wirtschaftswoche reported today, citing manager Johannes Gutmann.

Revenue is expected to total EUR 30 million compared with EUR 20.5 million in fiscal 2007/08, Gutmann said. The growth in revenue is accompanied by the opening of new shops. At the end of June the firm opened its 21st store and two more will follow in November.

Sonnentor will make its biggest investment of EUR 8 million in the construction of a production site and a warehouse which are expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The company is on the lookout for more farmers to become partners. About 40% of Sonnentor's 700 organic products are produced by the company's 150 partner farmers, Gutmann said.
