Austrian VKW to close integration of Vorarlberger Erdgas on May 1.

(SeeNews) - Apr 3, 2013 - The integration of Austrian gas supplier Vorarlberger Erdgas GmbH (VEG) into utility Vorarlberger Kraftwerke AG (WBAG:VKW) will be completed as of May 1, 2013.

VKW fully acquired VEG in mid-November 2012.

VEG's clients, whose products are now included in the VKW Erdgas brand, will be automatically transferred to VKW, Christoph Germann, managing director of Illwerke/VKW, said yesterday in a press release.

Until the beginning of May 2013 VKW will also take over all of VEG's employees. The latter's headquarters will be relocated to Bregenz from Dornbirn so that the electricity and gas sales activities can be bundled.

VKW's 100% subsidiary Vorarlberger Energienetze GmbH will continue VEG's operations and expansion.
