"I didn't think I was going to survive this one. I was separated from my friend in the bar after we had paid the tab at 10:48pm and he went to the bathroom and next thing you know I'm being dumped in a park miles away," Allenby said to AAP. "I only know this part because a homeless woman found me and told me she saw a few guys pull up and throw me out of the car. That is where I got the scrapes above my eye from the sidewalk."

Allenby added that the woman and another man, a retired military man, helped him during the incident. The man also paid for his taxi which brought him back to the hotel and where Allenby called the police. Allenby admitted that the entire incident could have gone much worse saying that he didn't care about the material things he lost but just that he's glad he "survived this one." The police have examined surveillance video in the bar and surrounding area to help them in the investigation.

Allenby, who is from Melbourne, Australia, has four PGA Tour titles winning the 2001 Nissan Open, 2001 Marconi Pennsylvania Classic, 2000 Shell Houston Open and 2000 Advil Western Open in his career. Allenby is currently ranked 271st in the world in 2015.
