Australia : Towers Watson Australian Investment team grows by five.

Leading global consultant Towers Watson has grown its Australian Investment team with five new appointments: two investment consultants and three investment analysts. The business continues to grow and the new hires have been appointed to meet the expanding client base.

Graeme Miller, Director, Investment Services, for Towers Watson in Australia said: I m delighted to welcome our new team members on board. Our team is now bigger and better resourced than it s ever been, and we will continue to increase its depth and breadth as our business grows.

Craig Mercer has re-joined Towers Watson as a specialist senior hedge fund and alternatives consultant. Before his most recent role as Head of the London office for Dalton Investments LLC, and chairman of the risk committee, Craig spent seven years as a senior manager research professional at Towers Watson in both London and Hong Kong. Craig will be based in the Sydney office.

Sean O Shea has also joined the Sydney team as an investment consultant. Sean previously held senior roles at Challenger Financial Services, Apostle Asset Management and Royal Bank of Scotland. Sean has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) from the University of Cape Town, an MBA from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business, and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services from AFMA.

Three new investment analysts have also been appointed. Sean Hollins has joined the Melbourne team as a senior investment analyst in the Client Consulting Team. Sean is a CFA charter holder and most recently was a manager in PwC s Melbourne investment consulting team. Bhushan Chiniah has joined the Melbourne team as a graduate investment analyst. Bhushan graduated from Monash University last year with a double degree in Economics and Commerce. Chris Tran has joined the Sydney Client Consulting Team as an investment analyst. Previously, Chris was a senior consultant with PwC s Business Controls Assurance team in Sydney. Chris has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and is a CFA charter holder.

The growth of Towers Watson s Investment business is not limited to Australia and follows the announcement of three recent senior investment professional appointments in the North American investment services team, namely George Caffrey, Elise Klarfeld Ornstein and Chris Thompson, who between them have over 55 years of experience.
