Australia : PERTH AIRPORT inaugurates its $120 million domestic T2.

Perth Airport has inaugurated its $120 million domestic terminal 2, making way for additional commercial tourism.

T2 being the first new terminal to be developed at the airport in 26 years, accommodates a check-in hall with 16 check-out counters, a passenger security screening zone, departures lounge having high quality retail and dining options along with a large aircraft apron with around 14 aircraft gates connected.

Perth Airport chief executive Brad Geatches said, While T2 is the first of our projects to be completed, work is well advanced on the transformation of the international arrivals journey, which will see Immigration move to Level 1 in the middle of this year, allowing for the expansion of the baggage reclaim area on the ground floor, and visitors to the airport can now see the new Domestic Pier taking shape.

These are very exciting times for Perth Airport and the completion of T2 is just the first stage and a critical milestone in an extensive transformation to ensure all our customers have a great experience.

Located next to the existing International Terminal, the new terminal provides seamless travel for people in regional WA looking to fly overseas.
