Australia : BLUE STAR GROUP to acquire and integrate TMH into its Direct Division.

The IVE subsidiary Blue Star Group is heading in the right direction to complete the acquisition of The Mailing House (TMH).

Once the deal closes, Blue Star Group will integrate the direct mailing company into its Direct business division.

As part of the terms of the deal, most of TMH staff and customers will join Blue Star Direct and work under the guidance of its General Manager David Veness.

The transaction is scheduled for completion on 30th of this month.

Matt Aitken, the COO of IVE, has disclosed that Blue Star thinks that TMHs powerful employee fleet and strong customer base create significant avenues and the negligible crossover in customer lists has been alluring for the company.

The IVE COO further said, The Mailing House is a great business with loyal staff and good clients, and the strength of TMH will be a good fit for Blue Star Direct.

Aitken added, Blue Star has known the guys from TMH for quite a long time, and we saw opportunity in the connections and clients they have which add enormous value to our business.

The Blue Star Chief Executive Cliff Brigstocke stressed, I see a great combination of talent, technology and culture that strengthens our offer to the market.

Under the leadership of Director Lindsay May, TMH has been in the business for around three decades now and will continue to guide the business in the upcoming period.

According to him, the acquisition represents that the mailing sector has a brilliant prospect. He has further said that the deal is driven by the necessity to improve turnover generation capability in the budding market space.

May explained, The Mailing House needed a bigger player in the market with high volume and high speed like Blue Star to push us to another level.

The director added, We had a look at the Blue Star Web and Direct facilities and saw how impressive their operations were, so we knew this is what TMH needed.

According to May, TMHs turnover power is caused by robust connections in the not-for-profit field in which the peak demand phases like Christmas and fiscal end give much pressure on the business.

May added, With Blue Stars equipment and 24/7 operation a lot of the pressure has been alleviated. TMH has experienced an upturn in the last 18 months so we feel positive about this acquisition.

He continued, We have never felt more comfortable dealing with a business, and people like Matt Aitken and Graham Morgan are impressive to work with. We have joined a like-minded company with a similar philosophical culture to TMH.

The Mailing House will be leaving its three-decade old base for operation in Rydalmere to become a part of the Homebush-based facility of Blue Star Direct.
