New South Wales has appointed France's BNP Paribas SA (BNPP.PA) (LSE: BNP) (OTC: BNPQY) to the dealer panel of the Australian state's Treasury department, marking the 13th firm on the panel.

BNP has been added to domestic and global exchangeable bond programme panels and the appointment is effective from Monday, New South Wales Treasury Corporation (TCorp) said.

'The decision to include BNP Paribas reflects their commitment to the Australian fixed income market and their ability to help TCorp successfully meet the funding needs of its clients,' said TCorp.
