Aurora teen charged after police find gun, extended magazine.

Byline: Mary Norkol Daily Herald Correspondent An Aurora man was arrested Thursday and charged with unlawful use of a weapon after he was found with a gun and an extended magazine near the Hometown neighborhood, police said.

Aurora police arrested 18-year-old Marchelo Nelson, of the 1500 block of Victoria Park Circle, after a traffic stop, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department. Officers saw the gun during the stop and took Nelson into custody, the release said.

Nelson was charged with felony counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and one felony count of unlawful use of a weapon, along with a misdemeanor charge of obstructing identification, the release said.
