Augean North Sea Services acquires hazardous waste business.


12 September 2013 a[euro]" UK-based Augean North Sea Services Ltd (ANSS), a joint venture of hazardous waste management services provider Augean Plc (LON:AUG) and drilling fluids solutions and drilling waste management services firm Scomi Oiltools, said today it acquired a hazardous waste site at Blackdog, Aberdeenshire.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The takeover represents ANSS' fourth facility in the region, the buyer, which provides services leveraging an integrated waste management supply chain with facilities in Scotland and Northern England, said.

The acquired operation will deliver solutions for treatment of slops water wastes from the North Sea oil and gas sector, ANSS said.
