Audit Chamber reveals financial irregularities in Health Ministry worth 6.4 million som.

Audit of the use of budget in the Ministry of Health and its subordinate institutions for 2013 revealed the financial irregularities amounting to 6 million 451 thousand som ($101 thousand). Of them, 6 million 220 thousand som ($97 thousand) are to be restored, the Audit Chamber reported.

The materials of the audit noted that the leadership of the Ministry unreasonably paid wages of 103.4 thousand som ($1.6 thousand), used special means bypassing the Treasury in the amount of 405.8 thousand som ($6.3 thousand), and unreasonably wrote off inventory holdings and cash in the amount of 187.3 thousand som ($2.9 thousand).

Hidden under the account receivables amounted to 1 million 255 thousand som ($19.6 thousand).

The audit also found overestimation of volume of construction works in the amount of 967.5 thousand som ($15 thousand). The audit materials on the construction of bacteriological laboratory in Aravan district center for disease prevention were submitted to the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes.

The amount of overestimation of construction and installation works on the specified object was 787.4 thousand som ($123.1 thousand).
