UK-based software systems integration company AudioSoft Ltd has installed a new digital voice recording system in the Cabinet Office in Whitehall, London to record minutes of meetings.

The solution used, AudioPC, is able to provide a speech recording that can be transcribed directly into Microsoft Word using the AudioWord product from AudioSoft. Up to 128 channels per unit may be recorded on to a range of storage media including hard disk, RAID, DVD or optical disk.

The financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
