AudioCodes Announces AdvancedTCA(R) Product Line.

ATCA Design Kit is Planned for Availability in Q3 2004

AudioCodes , a leading provider of Voice over Packet (VoP) technologies and Voice Network products, today announced the evolution of its VoIPerfect(TM) architecture to comply with AdvancedTCA(R) (ATCA) specifications. This new product line leverages AudioCodes 2000 LBR-channel TPM-6300 Voice over Packet Media gateway module.

The ATCA PICMG 3.X family of specifications targets the requirements for the next generation of carrier-grade communications equipment. ATCA incorporates "the latest trends in high speed interconnect technologies, next generation processors and improved reliability, manageability and serviceability," states Joe Pavlat, President and Chairman of the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG). "Major players in the industry such as telecom equipment providers and blade manufacturers are announcing their plans to adopt ATCA standards in their next generation systems. As a leading provider of Voice over Packet 'Media Gateway on a Blade', it is important that AudioCodes has taken the next step in keeping up with the latest developments in the marketplace."

The ATCA design kit is planned for availability by the end of Q3 2004. This early availability will allow developers to gain the advantage of being exposed early to the ATCA architecture and leverage on AudioCodes VoIPerfect field-proven technology at the seed stage.

Design kits for these products are expected to be available in September 2004 with general availability of ATCA products expected by mid 2005.
