Swedish foundry process control systems developer SinterCast AB said on Wednesday (15 December) that the German car manufacturer Audi AG had awarded the Brazilian Tupy foundry a high volume series production contract for the Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI) cylinder blocks of its new diesel engines.
The CGI cylinder blocks would be produced at Tupy's Joinville foundry using the SinterCast process control technology, the company said.
