Auctioneer of the year contest.

THE National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA) has opened its doors to entrants for the Auctioneer of the Year Competition 2013.

Novices' skills will be put to the test in a simulated auction room with bidders challenging the budding auctioneers with a series of disruptions.

This year's event, held at the Stratford Manor, Warwickshire, on 25 September, will welcome entries from across the UK where they will gain valuable experience at the rostrum.

Applicants must be members of or work for members of NAVA, NAEA, ARLA or ICBA, the membership bodies that uphold professional standards within their respective industries.

All entrants will receive complementary accommodation at the Stratford Manor, provided by the event sponsors and a free place to the NAVA Property Auctioneering Forum the next day.
