Aubrey E A Joachim.

Aubrey Joachim started out as an accounts trainee at Unilever, Sri Lanka in 1973, where he was employed on all aspects of financial and management accounting. He moved to a senior accountant position in the textile and garment export industry in 1979, and left Sri Lanka in 1982 to take up a management accountant role at a multinational US Corporation in Dubai. Joachim was transferred to London in 1992 and migrated to Australia to take up his present appointment as a financial manager at Sydney Water Corporation in 1994.

Joachim has presented at many CIMA professional development meetings. He has represented CIMA at careers fairs and other profile-raising events, contributed to magazine and newspaper articles to raise the institute's profile and has presented CIMA's benefits and strengths to prospective training through partnership (TTP) organisations. Joachim's articles on management topics have been published in professional journals and on the CIMA website. He has spoken at accounting and management conferences and won the CIMA/Reed Management accounting competition in 1991.
