Atlases of anesthesia techniques series
This book/DVD package reviews essential information for administering anesthesia in orthopedic surgery, and demonstrates 16 nerve blocks as performed by specialists in the field. Focus is on the most important and tested peripheral nerve blocks essential for orthopedic surgery. A final chapter deals with common pitfalls. The color art program illustrates visual anatomy and nerve block techniques from a variety of perspectives using anatomical drawings, gross anatomy images, depictions of surface anatomy, clinical photos, and photos of cadaver dissections. The companion DVD contains videos of single-injection and continuous nerve blocks, and examples of the anatomical responses gained from percutaneous stimulation of the nerves. Boezaart teaches anesthesia and orthopedic surgery at the University of Florida.
