Industrial group Atlas Copco (STO:ATCOA) today inaugurated a new distribution and service center in South Africa that is expected to benefit customers in the country and region.

According to the company, this brand-new facility, east of Johannesburg, will be the hub for distribution of equipment from all four of Atlas Copco's business areas, such as compressors, rock drills, construction equipment and power tools. It will provide one-stop shopping opportunities for customers that may need a wide range of equipment. Service will also be carried out at the premises.

Reportedly Atlas Copco invested SEK120m in the construction of the top-modern facilities.

Around 450 employees currently work at the premises. The facility is located on 20 acres of land and also hosts an administration building, the company said.
