International industrial group Atlas Copco AB (STO:ATCOA) on Monday reported profit before tax of SEK5,934m, or EPS of SEK4.29, for the fourth quarter of 2018.

This was a 30% increase as compared with profit before tax of SEK4,551m, or EPS of SEK2.61 in Q4 2018.

Revenues for the quarter were a record SEK25,321m, up by 12% as compared with SEK22,645m in Q4 2017. Organic growth was 7%.

Orders for the quarter increased by 6% to SEK23,743m, as compared with SEK22,459m in Q4 2017. Organic growth was 1%.

Atlas Copco added that these figures refer to continuing operations. Epiroc has been reported as discontinued operations since January 2018.

Also, the company's board of directors proposed a dividend of SEK6.30 per share, or approximately SEK5.20 for continuing operations, to be paid in two instalments.

Atlas Copco develops, manufactures and markets compressed air equipment and treatment, vacuum solutions, mining equipment, generators, electric and pneumatic tools, hybrid joining technologies and other assembly systems, as well as offers related equipment and services.
