Atlanta Chapter.

Mr. Willie Williams, Federal Security Director for the TSA, was the guest speaker at the Atlanta Chapter's January meeting. Willie gave a presentation on the roles and missions of the TSA and discussed the focus areas for future TSA planning. He described the growth of TSA since 2001, and discussed the increased emphasis being placed on surface transportation. Mr. Williams has a long and distinguished career in security and law enforcement. He began as a patrolman in the Philadelphia Police Department, rising through the ranks to Commissioner. Later, he served as Chief of Police in Los Angeles during the 1990s.


In Chapter business, Don Martin presented the nominations for the Chapter Board of Directors. The slate was unanimously approved. Maj. Gen Craig Rasmussen is Chairman. He will lead the board as they provide strategic guidance and vision to the chapter officers.
