Athletics: It's a county title for super Siobhan; Elliott leads the way as Greenhead club celebrate success.

IN-FORM Greenhead Gymnastics Club are celebrating successes at the Yorkshire Junior Championships.

Siobhan Elliott won the overall title to become Yorkshire champion with a score of 45.00.

And going along the elite path will be Amy Foreman, who qualified at Compulsory 3 on her retake, scoring 54.325 with the pass mark being 50.

At level six, the team consisting of eight, nine and 10 year olds - Savannah Mightly, Olivia Proctor, Hope Dwarsky, Joanna Wilkinson, India Sleney and Jessie Fulcher - finished seventh.

The 12-plus level seven team were fourth featuring Danielle Stirk, Rachel Sutton, Amy Hill and Joanna Blake.

In the Yorkshire Christmas single piece competition, the team were placed third and all the gymnasts were bronze medal winners on the apparatus on which they competed.

The team was Amy Foreman, Emma Stirk, Gemma Wood and Helen Bolton.

In the level six single piece competition, the seven to nine years' team of Sophie Davies (who won a bronze medal on the beam), Lauren Hayes, Savannah Mightly and Olivia Proctor were third.

In the B team, Jessie Fulcher was a bronze medalist on the bars.

Only three gymnasts competed in the 10-11 age group but achieved good results, with Nicola Pachniuk winning gold on the vault, Shannon Wood silver on bars and Bethany Hodgson bronze on the floor.

The 12-plus team of Kirsty Gee, Amy Hill, Sharrell Lawrence and Bridget Hill won silver, and Lawrence claimed an individual bronze on the vault, Gee a gold on bars, Bridget Hill the silver on beam and Amy Hill bronze on floor.

Next up was the level four single piece competition and the eight to 10 years A team of Erin McLachlan, Ellie Proctor, Rhiann Atherton and Lauren Arthur, who won silver.

Arthur won gold on the vault, McLachlan gold on the beam and Atherton silver on the floor.

The B team of Ellie Black, Katie Horrocks, Renee Facee and Corrinne Wood were fourth, while Black claimed a silver medal on the bars.
