Assyrian Patriarch Mar Ignatius Josef III Jounan Visits Turkey.

Summary: ISTANBUL (Cihan) -- Assyrian Catholic Mar Ignatius Josef III Jounan came to Istanbul with 6 bishops.

Josef III Jounan, came from the Beirut to Istanbul, will meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul

Josef III Jounan was welcomed by Deputy Turkish Assyrian Catholic Korepiskopos Yusuf Sag at the International Ataturk Airport.

Jounan made same explanation about his visit at Ataturk Airport. In his explanation Jounan said he would visit to Abdullah Gul and communicated the Turkish Christian's problems in Turkey. He also added the meeting with Gul would make him happy.

"We are very happy, we arrived to Istanbul. We came here to visit our communities in Turkey. I would like to thank the representatives of the spiritual leaders of churches and local authorities" noted Mar Ignatius Josef II Jounan. He will meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul on 31 May
