Associated brands bought by Barton.

The Hiram Walker Group and Barton Inc. have announced an agreement that combines the beer importing business of Associated Beverage Importers, Inc., New York, into Barton Beers, Ltd., Chicago, IL.

Under the agreement, Associated Beverage Importers will transfer its St. Pauli Girl and Double Diamond brands to Barton, together with related operating assets. The completion of the transaction is expected by late June, 1992, after which Barton Beers Ltd. will be responsible for the sales and marketing of St. Pauli Girl and Double Diamond beers.
