499 pages

Editor Hemphill-Pearson has a Masters degree in occupational therapy and a doctorate in ministry. This book's articles, written by occupational therapists (most but not all of whom are based in the US) present thorough studies of integrative techniques for evaluating the abilities of patients in mental health, from self-care to full-time work. A holistic approach to assessment is encouraged. The development and correct administration of each assessment is provided along with a list of recent studies and a sample case study. A slew of appendices offer useful resources, forms, checklists, studies, and scales.
