Assembly lubricants.

This provider of specialty chemicals to the automotive, appliance, laboratory, government and pharmaceutical industries has introduced two assembly lubricants for incidental food contact applications. The products are P-80 IFC temporary rubber lubricant emulsion and P-80 THIX IFC temporary rubber lubricant gel. P-80 temporary rubber lubricants have been used for decades to ease tight-fitting rubber assembly operations, according to the company. The newest lubricants are said to meet FDA regulation CFR 178.3570, which controls lubricants used in food contact applications. Typical P-80 applications are said to include hoses, grommets, seals, o-rings, belts and bushings. (International Products)
