Assemblage for sale on West Side.

Helmsley-Spear, Inc. has been selected to represent the owner in the sale of a vacant, comer assemblage of six properties located on Ninth Avenue and West 39th Street. Mars R. Spiegel and David L. Waldman of HelmsleySpear have been named exclusive brokers.

The six properties are located contiguously on a 12,300 square foot plot at 523-525 Ninth Avenue and 405411 West 39th Street. The site features four low-rise buildings with groundfloor retail levels and apartments above, one low-rise 'Office or loft building that includes a 120-seat catering facility,. and a vacant lot which provides parking for nine cats. Asking price for the site is $1.75 million.

The assemblage is located in the immediate vicinity of the Jacob Javitz Convention Center, Ninth Avenue International Food Market, and 42nd Street's Theater Row. At present the site includes the venerable, popular Giordano's restaurant with 234 seats, the Stradivarius Catering Building and two buildings with 34 unoccupied apartments plus two stores facing Ninth Avenue.

According to Waldman, the properties have a variety of potential uses including an international food bazaar with cooking, catering, restaurants, a cabaret or night club, plus a technical school.
