Ask the Doc: A sweat rash between my buttocks.

QI KEEP getting a sweat rash between my buttocks, but I wash every day. What can I do?

A:THE rash is caused by an overgrowth of candida yeast caught where skin rubs. Clean with water and gently dry after exercise. Apply Canesten cream three times daily to treat.

To reduce recurrence, keep the skin cool and dry by wearing cotton underwear and avoid clothes that rub during exercise. Some regular gym users apply KY Jelly to areas that rub
