Ask Heather up 9lb for hurdles win.

RATINGS RISERS IT WAS a quiet week on the ratings front with nothing to speak of on the Flat with Dundalk called off after two races on Friday, and only three meetings over jumps to contend with.

There were no double digit-hikes over jumps, but there were one or two interesting ones.

Ask Heather reverted to hurdles at Clonmel last Thursday having caught the eye despite falling over fences at the same venue two weeks previously. Her cosy victory in that 3m handicap hurdle means she goes up 9lb to 103.

Also up 9lb for winning a handicap chase in blizzard conditions at Leopardstown on Sunday is Amaulino, to a mark of 121.

The Pat Carey-trained Seskin Flyer has enjoyed a fine season, and a battling success in a 2m1f handicap chase at Navan on Saturday was his third of the campaign. He goes up another 8lb to 118 having originally scored at Thurles in December off 100.

The impressive return to action of Cliff House in a competitive handicap hurdle at Leopardstown on Sunday brought about a 7lb rise to a mark of 133.

From Eden landed a considerable gamble in a handicap hurdle at Navan on Saturday on his first run for Gordon Elliott. He goes up 7lb to 100, but considering he did once have a mark of 120, connections could well be playing with house money for some time.
