Ashton Encourages Continued Building Freeze.

TEL AVIV, October 1, 2010 (WAFA)_ European Union foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton said at the end of her meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem that she 'urged Israel to continue the (West Bank settlement construction) freeze and the Palestinians to continue the peace process.'

During a press conference she called, Ashton said, 'Gaza is still in my heart' and that she calls for the blockade to be lifted. She said that the EU will continue supporting the continuation of talks that will lead to a peace agreement based on a two-state solution.
