Arts: Laureate questions.

Byline: with Joe Riley

ANYONE who has ever wondered what exactly a poet laureate does can ask the man himself.

Andrew Motion, current controversial holder of the office, will be taking to the stage with some of Merseyside's up-and coming rhyme merchants.

Winners of this year's Sefton Poetry Competition will join the poet laureate at Crosby Civic Hall on October 28 (6pm), to be followed by a question and answer session.

Earlier in the day Andrew Motion will be a guest at Liverpool Hope College.
