GAFSA, (TAP) - Article 19 Wednesday launched a project on the right to access information on rural women's health protection in Tunisia's south-west," said Head of Tunis Bureau Saloua Ghazouani.

Governorates of Gafsa, Kebili and Tozeur were picked as target areas of this project which will be carried out in the period expanding from 2015 to 2017.

"This initiative will help raise the awareness of healthcare service providers and beneficiaries in the south-west, particularly rural women, about the importance of access to relevant information," said Project Coordinator Nejib Mokni at an information day in Gafsa.

Article 19 surveyed 209 rural women in the governorate of Gafsa; findings showed there was a lack of information as regards healthcare, prevention and first aid.
