BEIRUT: Head of the Lebanese Democratic Party MP Talal Arslan urged the Lebanese government to enhance bilateral agreements inked between Lebanon and Iran Monday. "We the Lebanese are in desperate need of this Iranian support on all levels [and] boosts our strength in confronting Israel's pressures," the lawmaker said after receiving Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi at his residence in Khaldeh. "We will [continue to] benefit from enhancing these agreements," Arslan said, adding that Iran has pledged to provide Lebanon with electricity within four months. Meanwhile, Roknabadi said the situation in Lebanon in 2011 looked promising. -- The Daily Star
