Arseus sales rise 13.7% Y/Y in H1 2011.

(SeeNews) - Jul 8, 2011 - Belgian health products wholesaler Arseus NV (EBR:RCUS) reported today its sales increased in the first half by 13.7% on the year to EUR 232.7 million (USD 333.8m).

The company expects annual revenue growth this year of between 8% and 12%.

Second-quarter sales grew by 12.5% to EUR 121.4 million.

The Fagron division, which supplies pharmacies, achieved 23.8% higher sales in the second quarter, making the biggest contribution to the group's total result.

Arseus Dental saw its sales increase by 2.5% in annual terms.

Arseus Medical reported 6.6% higher revenues, while the IT services division Corilus recorded growth of 8.1%.

Arseus reiterated plans to strengthen the operations of its Fagron division via selected acquisitions, with a focus on existing markets, the Scandinavian countries, central and eastern Europe.

The company will release its full first-half figures on August 5.
