Arsene talking rubbish ... again.

A DEFINITION of hogwash: "The scum of broth, utensil washings, leftovers, gristle, stale bread, peelings, old lard, spuds, fat and grease".

Another definition of hogwash: "Most of what Arsene Wenger says these days".

How about this recent offering? Arsenal's increasingly silly manager reckons that throwins should be abolished and replaced with kick-ins.

The reason? "For example at Stoke, for Rory Delap it is like kicking the ball," said Wenger. "It is a little bit of an unfair advantage. He is using a strength that is not usually a strength in football."

Ah yes, of course. And when they have banned long throws they can get on with abolishing strikers scoring with bicycle kicks and midfielders whacking in long-range goals and wingers nutmegging defenders and goalkeepers making brilliant saves - all exploits which are not a strength to most footballers.

Aye - no-one sounds sillier than when a bloke who thinks he's highly intelligent sounds silly.

Monsieur Wenger, you talk a load of old utensil washings.
