Arsenal to move in market.

ARSENAL are in talks to sign Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez and Newcastle rightback Mathieu Debuchy. Their move for 28-year-old France international Debuchy is at an advanced stage but the clubs are yet to agree a fee, with Newcastle understood to be seeking a figure in the region of PS10m.

The Gunners' bid for Sanchez is complicated by Barcelona's pursuit of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. Barca are reportedly seeking a fee of at least PS25m for the Chile striker.

Swansea manager Garry |Monk is hopeful of securing a deal to take Jonathan de Guzman back to the Liberty Stadium.

The 26-year-old midfielder, part of the Dutch squad at the World Cup, has been on loan at Swansea for the past two seasons from Spanish club Villareal.

Borussia Monchenglad-|bach have signed Belgium international Thorgan Hazard on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

The 21-year-old midfielder, formerly of Lens, joined the Premier League club two years ago and was loaned out to Belgian Pro League outfit Zulte Waregem for the past two seasons where he made 73 appearances and scored 19 goals. Hazard, who is the younger brother of Chelsea's Eden, made his international debut last summer and was named on the reserve list for the World Cup in Brazil.

Olympiacos have |announced the signing of Eric Abidal, just two days after the French defender signed a contract extension at Monaco.

The 34-year-old former Barcelona full-back only signed a one-year contract extension at Monaco on Thursday after arriving in the principality the previous summer.

Aberdeen appear to be win-|ning the race to sign former Dundee United striker David Goodwillie. The three-times capped Scotland forward is without a club having left Blackburn Rovers.

Real Madrid great Alfredo |Di Stefano is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after suffering a heart attack.

The 88-year-old is being kept in an induced coma in the coronary unit at the General Universitario Gregorio Maranon Hospital.

Schalke have completed the |signing of Cameroon striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting on a three-year deal from Mainz.

The 25-year-old, who was a former Hamburg youth player and made his debut for the first team in 2007, joins Jens Keller's squad on a free transfer until June 2017.
