Arrow Electronics Names Arthur Baer President of Arrow Europe.

MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--January 12, 2000

Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) has named Arthur H. Baer, age 53, as President of Arrow Europe.

Based in Frankfurt, Germany, Mr. Baer will oversee Arrow's business units in Northern, Southern, and Central Europe as well as the company's European-wide marketing efforts. He will report to Francis M. Scricco, President and Chief Operating Officer of Arrow.

Prior to joining Arrow, Mr. Baer served as Dean of the College of Business and Administration at Drexel University in Philadelphia, after which he launched a media company in upstate New York. His background also includes general management positions in a variety of service businesses. In addition, he has had numerous overseas assignments, including with McKinsey & Company, an international management consulting firm. Mr. Baer currently serves as a Director of Seneca Foods Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University.
