Arrests after cop car chase drama.

TWO police cars were damaged and three arrests made following a dramatic chase in Birmingham.

Police chased after a red Ford Sierra, which was reported stolen and spotted in Druids Lane, Kings Norton, just after 10.30am yesterday.

A short time later, the three occupants abandoned the car o Melchett Road before eeing on foot.

e ocers chased after the suspects and following an area search, two teenagers aged 15 and 16 were eventually found hiding in a recycling bin.

A third man, aged 25, was discovered by police hiding underneath a bridge over the River Rea on Westhill Road.

e three were arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft while the eldest suspect was also arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said two police cars and one privately owned car received minor damage in the incident.

No one was reported hurt.
