Arrest warrants issued for Zia Shahid and Imtinan Shahid.

LAHORE, June 16 -- A local court has issued non-bailable warrants of Zia Shahid, chief executive and editor-in-chief of the Khabrain Group of Newspapers, and his son Imtinan Shahid, editor of the group, and ordered the police to present the accused before the court after arresting them within 15 days.

Sources said that journalist Muzammil Suharwardi, son of former group legal adviser and prominent lawyer Azam Sultan Suharwardi, filed the petition against Zai Shahid and his son. In the application, it was stated that the Daily Khabrain had published some material against Muzammil in July last year.

The court summoned Zia Shahid and Imtinan Shahid through several notices but they did not approach the court. Additional Sessions Judge Azizullah ordered the SHO of the Civil Lines Police Station to arrest both Zia Shahid and Imtinan Shahid and present them before the court on June 29.
