Arnie in food fight.

Byline: IAN MARKHAM-SMITH

ARNOLD Schwarzenegger wants to terminate children's bad eating habits in America.

The movie star-turned-politician is determined to get kids off fizzy drinks and junk food and on to healthier eating.

A former Mr Universe, the 57-year-old still lifts weights four times a week. He wants to ban sales of junk food in schools and fill vending machines with fresh fruit, vegetables and milk.

Schwarzenegger, now Governor of California, came up with the plan after being shocked by the rise in youth obesity in his adopted state.

He told a news conference: ''We in California this year are introducing legislation that would ban all sales of junk food in our schools."
