Armageddon; MORTAL KOMBAT: ARMAGEDDON ** PS2.
Byline: Steve LawsonMIDWAY seem to have plumped for kwantity rather than kwality with MK: Armageddon.
There are loads of unlockable items and goodies, from costumes, artwork, animations, levels, music, videos...
You unlock these by earning Koins in the single-player arcade mode, Konquest mode and Motor Kombat racing mode.
These Koins can then be used in the Krypt (aargh!).
Most of the game is played like a standard 3D beat-'em-up.
When you meet other kombatants (stoppit! stoppit!), you switch to traditional arcade mode for a one-on-one.
You'll have more than 50 kombatants to choose from, plus there's a powerful Kreate-a-fighter tool (oh lord!) you can use to build a new fighter.
Chances are Armageddon will sell just because of the Mortal Kombat name, which is fine - just be warned, it's an OK game, not a klassic (sorry!).
