Arizona State Credit Union Receives Honors from Arizona Credit Union League (ACUL).

Paul Stull Named Advocate of the Year for Stewardship and Leadership in Political Advocacy

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Credit Union League (ACUL) awarded Advocate of the Year to Paul B. Stull, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Arizona State Credit Union, at the 2010 ACUL Annual Meeting. The meeting recognized individuals and credit unions for their efforts and contributions to strengthening the credit union movement.

The Advocate of the Year award highlights Stull's commitment to credit union political advocacy at the state and federal level. The award is named in honor of R.C. Robertson, retired president of Arizona State Credit Union, who was a strong proponent of the credit union industry.

"The Arizona Credit Union League works collaboratively with the credit unions of Arizona to serve more than 1.6 million members. Paul is a leader in credit union political advocacy and, as a member of the Legal and Legislative Committee, has made it a top priority to build key relationships with legislators to further the credit union cause," said Scott Earl, President of Arizona Credit Union League & Affiliates.

Stull leads Arizona State Credit Union's fundraising activities and the Credit Union is the top contributor to the CULAC Payroll Deduction Program in Arizona. The Credit Union also contributes many resources, including engaging staff and Credit Union members on key legislative issues such as interchange fee legislation, pay day lending and member business lending. Arizona State Credit Union is a longtime supporter of the ACUL, assisting with state and federal initiatives that benefit its members by being an active voice on key issues.

"We're honored to be part of the Arizona Credit Union League, and to be recognized for the efforts of Paul's contributions in political advocacy for all credit unions," said David E. Doss, President of Arizona State Credit Union. "Everything we do as a Credit Union, and as a League, is to benefit and create better experiences for each and every member we serve."
