Aric Ackerman Takes Center Stage as CEO of the L.A. Studios/Margarita Mix.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Feb. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The L.A. Studios, Inc. announced today that Aric Ackerman has been hired to serve as the company's Chief Executive Officer. Ackerman, 39, will report to the Board of Directors and be responsible for the overall management and growth of the company's LA Studios and Margarita Mix audio post production facilities. Ackerman will be based in the company's studios in Universal City, and will also oversee the Hollywood and Santa Monica based studios. Former CEO, Jesse Meli, will continue with the company as President Emeritus, consulting on business development opportunities.


Prior to joining the L.A. Studios, Ackerman served as the Chief Operating Officer for global media corporation, While there, the company realized extensive growth, which included the launch of the popular Video On Demand (VOD) automotive destination channel, driverTV.

Ackerman joins a nationally and internationally branded company whose diverse client base encompasses the most successful and creative brands in motion picture animation, consumer home entertainment products, advertising, television and videogames. The client list includes iconic brands such as DreamWorks, Disney, Paramount, Electronic Arts, ESPN, Lucas Arts, MTV and SONY, plus leading advertising agencies TBWA\Chiat\Day, Campbell Mithun, and Ogilvy & Mather.
