Ariba Standardizes on Mercury Interactive's Performance Management Solutions To Verify Reliability, Scalability of Ariba Buyer 7.0.

(Nasdaq: ARBA), the leading business-to-business (B2B) eCommerce platform provider has standardized on Mercury Interactive's Web performance management solutions for internal performance testing and benchmarking of its newly released Ariba Buyer 7.0 eCommerce solution.

In addition, Ariba is working with Mercury Interactive to develop the industry's first performance monitors specifically designed to test and monitor Ariba Buyer 7.0 with LoadRunner(R), the industry's leading load testing solution, and Topaz(R), Mercury Interactive's performance monitoring solution. These monitors, available in October, will enable Ariba customers to verify performance, reliability and scalability of Ariba Buyer, and to optimize application performance both in pre-deployment and production. As a service to Ariba partners and customers, Mercury Interactive will also provide testing best practice information which will be made available via AribaLive(TM), a web-based implementation methodology and knowledge repository used by implementers of Ariba products.
