Argonaut Acquires Software Company.

San Carlos, CA and Indianapolis, IN 1/31/01--Argonaut Technologies has acquired Camile Products LLC, a chemical software company, for approximately $10 million in cash and stock. David Binkley, CEO of Argonaut, stated that the acquisition would help his company expand its presence into the later stages of drug development and address a broader range of process chemistry applications. Camile will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Argonaut.

As a result of this acquisition, Argonaut's chemical synthesis instruments will benefit from Camile's scalable software platform. In addition, by gaining access to this chemistry software, Argonaut has acquired a valuable product for future development.
