Argentinean academician Alberto Laurence wins 'Prix Maroc' for science.

Buenos Aires (Argentina) - Prominent Argentinean surgeon and academician Dr. Alberto Laurence won the merit-based "Prix Maroc" for science, which is awarded by the Moroccan embassy in Buenos Aires, in recognition of his contribution to medicine development in Argentina.

Morocco's ambassador to Argentina Larbi Reffouh handed out the award to Laurence in a ceremony organized, on Tuesday, in the presence of several Argentinean scientists and academicians, in addition to Arab and African diplomats. Laurence, 96, voiced his "deep gratitude" to Morocco and HM King Mohammed VI.
