Arfon's pop picking again.
One of Welsh television's best-known faces makes a cameo appearance on S4C's drama series Emyn Roc a ROl tonight.
Arfon Haines Davies will be playing the host of an 80s rock and pop show as fictional band Y Disgyblion are invited to make their TV debut.
As presenter of HTV's musical showcase, 'SEr', in the 70s and early 80s, Arfon is no stranger to the music.
'Appearing in Emyn Roc a ROl certainly took me back to the glory days of Welsh music,' he explains.
'I think the drama really captures the atmosphere of the decade.
'Working with the crew was just like being on set twenty years ago.
'It was really good fun, one of the most enjoyable things I've ever filmed!'
Arfon says that as there weren't many TV channels in those days bands would get very excited about the opportunity to appear on television programmes.
'There was definitely a real buzz surrounding Welsh-language music at the time. I think there was a feeling that music was king. If the music was good enough, people would travel to Welsh language gigs, whether they spoke Welsh or not.
'A great night out was definitely a great night out back then.'
After last week's eventful first outing to South Wales, today's episode sees Y Disgyblion heading to Cardiff to take part on TV show 'Popio'. But despite the band's growing popularity, things are more difficult on the personal front for Emyr.
